Christmas Horror Books

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! With Christmas rolling around the corner I wanted to be able to talk about Christmas Horror Books.

I know Christmas is supposed to be happy and have Christmas spirit. On top of that, it’s usually the time for good-natured books that revolve around Christmas. Those types of books are not for me.

Christmas Horror Books

Don’t get me wrong though I do love happy books ones that revolved around Christmas are a bit cheesy to me. Granted I feel like part of that reasoning is working in retail because I always enjoyed Christmas before then. No, I rely on scary Christmas books to kind of get my little taste of Christmas.

Pro Tip: Owl Book World has an affiliate with Amazon. What this means is that if you purchase anything through the link provided for you I will earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Please consider supporting my blog.

Bookshop is another program I am affiliated with. If you don’t want to support Amazon, Bookshop is a good way to support bloggers as well as local bookshops that have their shop connected with them.

How to start a book blog

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! Today I wanted to talk about how to start a book blog. I’m hoping to use this post to talk about some of the things you should consider when you’re wanting to start. Why? Because I feel like a lot of these posts don’t give helpful information. Granted they do talk about some of the things I’m going to talk about but they’re vague and a lot of bloggers repeat what others have already said. There are several that tell you to jump right in and learn as you go.

To be honest that’s terrible advice. You will learn some things but there are so many things you should learn before you even create your blog. Why? Because it will save you so much time no matter if this is serious or a hobby. Granted you can learn some of these things after you have created your blog but it makes things easier and makes the whole process easier.

The first thing you really need to consider on how to start a book blog is whether or not book blogging is serious or a hobby?

Are Book Reviews a thing of the past?

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! I’ve been wanting to talk about whether or not people read book reviews anymore for a while now. Don’t get me wrong because I know some readers do still read them. But what about reviews on blogs or YouTube channels? I have been book blogging for 3 years now and for a long time, I didn’t really do discussion posts. So, basically, all I did was book reviews.

November 2021 Book Releases to add to your TBR

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! Today I’m talking about what November 2021 book releases you should add to your TBR! Some of these I should be starting soon so make sure to sign up for my newsletter so you can get an update on how these books are!

Do you guys like looking up what books come out each month? I hate to say it but most of the time doing these sorts of posts really makes me want to buy more books, but I also really like to stay updated on what books are coming out. Hopefully, once I’m able to get my TBR down some I can start going through some of these books and get them to read as well. I swear the amount of new releases can be a bit overwhelming but that’s why we need to start DNFing (did not finish) books we really don’t like.

Middle-Grade Horror Books that will chill you to the bone

Hey everyone, and welcome to Owl Book World! Today, I’m writing a list of Middle-Grade Horror Books for kids who are just starting with horror. This list is also super helpful for those who already like horror and just want more books to read. On top of that, if you’re older (than a middle-schooler) and want to ease into horror, these may be the perfect books to start with. Yes, they are scary books for tweens, but starting with books for a younger audience can be very helpful because they aren’t as bad as books for older audiences.
