Top 10 BookTok books that are being talked about in 2025

For a long time, I felt that books weren’t all that important. It was important to me, obviously, and there are quite a few others too. BUT!! It seems that a significant number of people were not reading. I bet before TikTok became popular, reading wasn’t a super common hobby. A lot of people kind of lost their love of reading, or it was never there for them to begin with. But the more TikTok became popular, I feel like the more popular books started to become popular again. But what are the top 10 booktok books that are worth it?

Trigger Warnings for books

Should Trigger Warnings be included?

[lwptoc]

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! Today I wanted to talk about trigger warnings. What are trigger warnings? Are they spoilers? And what are the benefits/disadvantages of having them? Trigger warnings seem to be a pretty heated discussion with readers, especially those who like to read horror books. I’ve probably seen more people who are against trigger warnings than those who are for them. Even though I understand why I also want to talk about why they can be beneficial.

A lot of people seem to think that trigger warnings are spoilers and that they seem to give away too much. I do kind of get that and I understand why some people wouldn’t want to see them. But I can also see the perks of it especially when readers have the opportunity to decide if they want to read it or not. Read more “Trigger Warnings for books”

Reading slumps and how they can be a good thing

Reading Slumps and how they can be a good thing

[lwptoc]

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World. Reading slumps are something that I’ve been wanting to talk about for a while now. A lot of bloggers talk about reading slumps like they are a bad thing. In a way I guess they sometimes can be especially if reading is your only hobby. Or it can potentially be a bad thing if you have a lot of ARCs (advanced reader copies) that are going to be published soon.

If published dates aren’t coming up soon then a reading slump could potentially be a good thing. Why? Well you’ll just have to keep reading in order to find out! Read more “Reading slumps and how they can be a good thing”

Best books for mom on Mother’s Day

Best Books for mom on Mother’s day

Hey everyone and welcome to Owl Book World! Can you guys believe that it’s May already? I know I can’t. It seems like just yesterday it was January. This year is going by so fast and I don’t really know if I like that at all! But now that it’s May you know what that means right? Mother’s Day is coming up and it’s time to figure out what to get her. If your mother is a reader then I have some of the best ideas for you. I’ve compiled a list of the best books for mom on Mother’s Day.

All of these books I have on the list are ones I’ve read at some point since I’ve started blogging. They are a little unconventional but these are the best books for the mom who isn’t a fan of romance or books that will make you cry.

I rounded up a list of books with kick a** mothers that your mother may enjoy reading. Most of these are horror/thrillers but I do have one that is a women’s fiction story.
