I have accumulated a list of horror movies for beginners that is perfect for those who don’t know where to start. Most of these movies do have a little bit of gore, but they aren’t as bad compared to other movies. Most of these movies are pretty popular and are very well known. I wanted to include them because they are popular for a reason.

This is with young adult vampire books and adult vampire books as well. It seems like they tried selling Twilight, but we haven’t heard much about another vampire book since. At least I really haven’t heard anything.
Who knows maybe I just really haven’t been paying attention and there have been tons of vampire books that got a lot of hype after Twilight. I wish I had known about them to start off with! Most of these books I’m actually just finding out about so hopefully soon I can get to some of them.

As many of you very well know I am a big horror fan. I’m always looking for new books to read and I do think the horror genre needs to be diversified. I want to make sure that everyone is aware of all of the authors in this genre. They deserve it!
You don’t often hear about many horror books by Asian authors. At least you don’t hear about those that are in English. I just hope I’m not missing any!

Or you could be just looking for more things to watch. Either way, I’m hoping some of these are movies you have never seen before. Granted you may have at least heard of them before but just haven’t gotten to them. If that’s the case then this is your sign to get your butt up and watch them.
All of these movies are ones that I have seen before. Some I have really enjoyed while others I may not have enjoyed so much. I usually always include stuff that I may not have enjoyed because who knows, you may enjoy it a lot more than I did. Not only that I really enjoy creating a variety on my lists because not everyone is going to enjoy the same things as me. Life would be boring if that was the case.

Nothing has happened in Newfoundland, Canada in nearly thirty years since the military abandoned the base. That is unless you count Tuesday night 2-for-1 video rentals. When a body is found in the town water supply it’s assumed that it was just an accident.

Most of these I have actually already seen the movie for and had never realized that they were based on books. In most cases, the book is always better than the movie so make you check out these horror movies based on books.

I have been wanting to do a post that revolves around horror books by black authors for a while now. Horror is one of my favorite genres but it’s not that often I actually come across a horror book by a black author. I’m not completely sure if there just aren’t many who write in this genre or if there just aren’t many who are published yet. But I am determined to read more by authors who aren’t white.
