Books becoming movies 2023
If you’re anything like me then I’m sure you enjoy books to movie adaptations. Depending on if it’s a genre that I actually love then I love being able to get my hands on them as quickly as possible. I don’t want to be spoiled with how the book is if I do decide that I want to see any of them. So, each year I always love researching what’s being turned into movies which is what lead me to this post on books becoming movies 2023.
There are quite a few on here that I have actually heard of, but there are a few that I haven’t. I’m still equally excited about all of them. I highly doubt that I’ll be able to get to all of these books but maybe I can manage to work out the ones I want to get to first.
Which one do you think I should start with?
There are a couple of books on here that I’m really excited about being turned into movies. Some of them I had NO idea about. Some of these deserved to be made into a movie a long time ago!
Hopefully, you get excited about this list as much as I do!
Books becoming movies 2023
I’d love to hear from you! If there are any of these releases that you are excited about then let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear what you’re not all that excited about as well!
The Ballad of songbirds and snakes
Most of us probably already know about this one. At least those who were fans of The Hunger Games. This is one that I can’t decide if I want to see. I have tried to read the book but honestly, I found it boring compared to The Hunger Games. I don’t think it helps that I really don’t care about reading through President Snow’s perspective.
If you’ve never heard of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes here is what it’s about.
It’s the tenth annual hunger games and the morning of the reaping. Coriolanus Snow is eighteen years old and is preparing for his one shot as a mentor in the games. The great name of Snow has fallen and this is his chance to bring his family name back up. But soon he realizes that the odds are against him. He has to be the mentor for the female tribute of District 12.

A Haunting in Venice (A Hallowe’en Party)
This is the first time I’m actually hearing about this story. I’m actually kind of surprised this one is being turned into a movie because it doesn’t seem like the book is all that popular. I’m by no means saying that the book is bad but Hollywood has a mind of its own when it comes to turning books into movies.
After looking at who the author is I kind of put my foot in my mouth about it. I get why this one is going to be one of the books becoming movies 2023. I’m just not really a fan of books this old.
Yes, I know, how dare I? I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way though!
Here is what the book is about.
At a Halloween party Joyce, a thirteen-year-old girl who can be hostile, claims that she witnessed a murder. No one believes her and when she realizes that she storms out of the party. Within hours her body is found in the same house no less. Can Hercule Poirot figure out what happened?

Leave the World Behind
Amanda and Clay are going on vacation in a remote area on Long Island. At least they think they are. They want to be able to spend some quality time with their teenage kids. On top of that, they want their vacation spent in a time of luxury in a really nice home.
When they get a knock on their door from the owners they are brought news that there has been a blackout through the entire city. With no electricity, they have no working phones or working tv so they have no idea what is true. Should they trust the couple that came to tell them all of this?
This is the first time I’m actually hearing about Leave the World Behind as well. This is one that actually caught my attention though. I’m actually hoping that I can read this one soon. Especially since I have a lot of questions. Why exactly would the family be suspicious of the owners of the house? I guess it’s something that I would be conflicted about. I would be a little suspicious why the family would come to tell me something that I can clearly see on my own. But I would also be grateful if there’s anything that I really may need to know.
This is one books to movies 2023 that I’m actually looking forward to!

The Last thing he told me
Before Owen disappears he manages to sneak his new wife a note saying: protect her. Hannah is confused and scared but she knows exactly who he meant. He’s wanting his sixteen-year-old daughter to be protected. Her name is Bailey. She lost her mother and wants nothing to do with Hannah.
Hannah desperately calls Owen but can’t get him to answer. When her boss is arrested and the FBI shows up at her door she realizes that Owen may not be who he said he is. Bailey just may know what’s going on.
Hannah and Bailey work together to try and figure out Owen’s past. As they put the pieces of his past together they start to realize they are building a future together too.
The Last Thing He Told Me has been very popular since the day it was released. I’ve heard many great things about it. I may actually try watching the show but I don’t if I care enough to read the book. That’s mostly because I’m not a huge fan of crime thrillers.
What did you think about The Last Thing He Told Me?
Release Date: April 14, 2023 (Tv show on Apple +)
There are many more that have been announced but at this point a lot of them don’t have a release date and I feel like most of them won’t even be released this year. I will try to stay updated on all of it so I can keep my readers updated as well.
