Amusement Parks in Georgia for all of the thrills

Amusement Parks in Georgia aren’t the first thing you think about when it comes to Georgia. Honestly, when I think about amusement parks, Georgia isn’t the first state that I have ever remotely thought of. Typically, it’s either Florida or California, mostly because of Disney.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

That being said, this is exactly why I wanted to create a list of amusement parks in Georgia. I’m sure many of you already know about Six Flags, but I love letting you guys know about other fun places to go!

Besides amusement parks not being the first thing people think about when it comes to Georgia, I feel like Georgia isn’t the first place people think about when going on vacation. But there’s so much to Georgia that people don’t think about. I think that’s especially true when it comes to South Georgia, mostly because all people seem to think about is either Atlanta or Savannah.

Amusement Parks in Georgia

Amusement Parks in Georgia

The only ones of these amusement parks in Georgia that I have heard of are Six Flags and Wild Adventures. Both of these amusement parks are aimed towards different types of families and individuals. Six Flags is aimed at bigger kids and people. There are tons of roller coasters there but these are the types of roller coasters that are not aimed towards younger kids.

Wild Adventures is more of a family-friendly amusement park for the younger kids. There are rides for a lot of the older kids, but I just wanted to emphasize that the younger kids won’t get left out. There’s a water park there and they also have concerts there during the summertime!

  • Six Flags
  • Wild Adventures
  • Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park
  • Skyline park
  • Mud Creek falls

I do have to admit that Wild Adventures used to be a lot more when I was growing up, especially during Halloween time. They used to have a lot of haunted houses and even had the actor who played Freddy Krueger there for signings. Now, it’s not nearly as fun to me. The other amusement parks like I said, I haven’t heard of, but if you have I would love to hear what you think of them!

Water Parks

These are just a few of the water parks in Georgia that I was able to find. Like I stated earlier, there is also one at Wild Adventures that I didn’t include on this list.

I have never really been a fan of water parks so I wouldn’t know how any of these are. I know that a lot of people do like the one at Wild Adventures though!

  • St. Mary’s Aquatic Center
  • Summer Waves Water Park
  • Surf Lagoon
  • 6 Flags White Water

Are there any water parks or amusement parks in Georgia that I may have missed? I know there aren’t a whole lot here and this isn’t the first place people think of when it comes to amusement parks.

If there are any more that you may know about let me know! I always love going to them because I always find them so much fun, so I would love to find more to go to.
