Winter reading challenge to end the year with a bang

I don’t know about you, but my TBR has grown out of hand. It’s gotten ridiculously long, and I don’t like it at all. It’s really starting to get overwhelming, and I want to do my best to lessen the load. So, instead of letting it get the best of me I created a winter reading challenge in hopes to get some of the books out of the way.

I joined the book blogging community back in 2018 under the name of Entertainingly Nerdy. And let me tell ya, a lot of the book bloggers were an amazing community. I feel like a good chunk of the people I met back then are no longer blogging, but I have found so many books through them.

So, you can say that it’s partly their fault that I have so many books on my shelf. Okay, okay it’s mostly my fault. But I know that if I’m accumulating a lot of books then you guys probably are too. At least most of you probably are especially when it comes to finding clearance books.

So here is my winter reading challenge to help you get through the backlogged books and hopefully to help you get through some of them faster.

Winter reading challenge

Reading challenges are so much fun and I would love for you to join me. You don’t even have to have a huge backlog of books to join in with me. The only thing that I ask is that you join our Facebook group and even join our newsletter (no pressure) so we can talk all things books.

Okay, okay I’m done rambling now here are the winter reading challenge prompts!

  • Read a book that has been on your shelf the longest
  • A book under 300 pages
  • A book over 300 pages
  • Read a book published in 2020
  • A book that you bought because of the cover
  • A book that you started but never finished
  • Reread a book that you love
  • A book that you’ve been meaning to read for a while
  • Read a book that was an impulse buy
  • Read a series you started but never finished
  • The oldest book on your kindle

Conclusion to how to end your reading year in a bang

Hopefully you have fun with the winter reading challenge just as much as I do! I will be trying to post pictures of what I’m reading on Instagram and Facebook. I would love if you shared your reads with me as well!

If you’re looking for more reading challenges to take part in, then make sure to join in on our 2026 reading challenge as well!
