November 2023 Book releases
Welcome to Owl Book World! Today I wanted to talk about November 2023 book releases. This is going to be a new series that I’m going to try and work on. I always feel like I’m super behind when it comes to newly released books. It kind of makes me feel like I’m missing out because there are so many books that are coming out that look really good.
It helps to find out books that I would like to read next as well. Granted right now I don’t really need any more books to read since I have a whole bookshelf full of books that I still haven’t read yet. But I can dream right?
Let me know what November 2023 book releases you’re more excited for!
November 2023 book releases
Since I’m a book blogger that reads mostly horror and thriller… That’s what this list is mostly going to consist of. I hope you’re able to find you’re next favorite thrill and scare!
The engagement party by Finley Turner
I feel like this is one book that I would really enjoy. It’s kind of a scary thought of marrying into a family that may be as powerful as this one. On top of that I would NEVER want to be in a scary situation with a family like this.
I think most of you know why.
Rich families tend to get away with way too much stuff and I would hate to be in Kass’ situation. Just by the synopsis of it I think I would put a lot of blame on her her fiance as well. You would think that he would ease her into a situation like this.
Here is what The Engagement Party is about.
Kass Baptiste just recently got engaged to Murray Sedgemont. Before they are able to tell the news to anyone they get an invitation to an engagement party by Murray’s parents. When they arrive at his parents estate Kass is shocked to discover that his parents are one of the most powerful people in North Carolina. Kass’s mother in law works herself in a frenzy Kass starts to recieve threatening messages.
When the party officially starts a dead body is found in the home. Of course everyone there starts to look at her and somehow her dark past manages to mix in. Will she be able to figure out what happened before they turn on her?
The Way I am Now by Amber Smith
I have had the first book on my bookshelf for years now and still haven’t read the book yet. Now that there’s a second book coming out maybe this is the push that I need to get to the first book.
I do have to warn you that this book seems to have a little bit of a trigger warning. If you can’t handle even talking about rape then maybe you should avoid this book.
Here is what The Way I Am Now is about.
The Way I am Now follows Eden and Josh. They never had a fair chance at a relationship when they were in highschool. Now they are giving it another chance. When they first started dating Josh didn’t realize that Eden was going through her own issues of sexual assault, but at the time he was dealing with is own issues of an acholic father.
When the two of them reconnect they are both in college and Eden is going through a trial after her and other girls accuse their rapist. As she’s trying to heal she feels like now is the time for a reconnection. But with the stress of everything can their love withstand it?
Where he can’t find you by Darcy Coates
Darcy Coates has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years and for good reason too. Her stories are creepy and the few that I have read seems to bring a new twist on stories that have been over done a lot.
I highly recommend reading her books if you enjoy reading creepy stories.
Here is Where He Can’t Find You is about.
Abby Ward lives in a town that’s full of disappearences. When they are found they have been dismembered and sewn back together.
Abby and her sister have a set of rules they stick by so they aren’t taken. They live by these rules because they don’t want to be another one of those girls. So when Abby’s sister is taken she can’t help but to be surprised. When she tells the police everything she knows they keep telling her that their hands are tied and that there’s nothing that they can do.
So, she tries to take matters in her own hands. Her and her friends try their best to find her before too much is cut off and they lose all hope.
All the Little Raindrops by Mia Sheridan
So, I kind of have mixed feeling about this one. I love the idea of it but I also don’t really like books that deal with law inforcement or investegators as main characters.
Don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with them as main characters and this could just have a lot to do with the way that most of them are written. But for the most part I struggle to really connect with them and find them kind of annoying.
I still may give this November 2023 book realse a chance because that may not be the case with this one.
Here is what All The Little Raindrops is about.
It’s senior year and it’s Noelle’s and Evan’s spring break. Except this isn’t a fun spring break since they have been kidnapped. They don’t know why they were chosen but they do know they both have a tragic connection. Evan’s father killed Noelle’s mother, and it ruined her family when it was rulled an accident.
Despite their background they decide to work together even though they have every reason to be enemies. They eventually do escape but every happy ending comes with a price.
Year’s later Evan is a private investigator and decides to look into the crime again. He’s dragged back into it when he realizes that the investigation is ongoing. When he asks for Noelle’s help they are both dragged back into the past to figure out who the bad guy is.
Only She Came Back by Margot Harrison
So, I have to admit that this book caught my attention because of the book cover. It stands out to me and really makes me want to read it.
I think it helps out a lot that I really like how the book sounds as well. It seems like there are a lot of books coming out where the main character is obssesed with true crime. I think I’m okay with that though because I do find true crime fascinating.
Here is what Only She Came Back is about.
Late one evening Kiri walks out of the desert wearing her boyfriend’s sweatshirt with blood all over it. As confusion sets in she tells a cashier that he’s still out there and he’s probably dead. The disappearance of the well-known “survival guru” shakes the nation. Kiri is the prime suspect.
Back in Kiri’s hometown Sam, a true crime fanatic, is obsessed with the case. When she befriends Kiri they start to get close. When Kiri starts confiding in her she realizes that there’s a lot more to the story. Can she keep Kiri’s secret?
Girl Among Crows by Brendon Vayo
So, I’m not really sure if this is a book that stands out to me very much but it does sound interesting. Unfortunatly, I think there are a lot more books out there that have caught my interest better than this one.
With that being said I know there are a bunch of you who would be really interested in this one.
Here is what Girl Among Crows is about.
When two boys disappear from Daphne’s hometown she notices a lot of similarities to the disappearance of her brother. Ancient symbols and rumors start showing up and when she tells her husband about the possibility of another sacrifice no one believes her.
This leaves Daphne with one of two choices. She must either investigate it on her own with limited resources or she must give the FBI an interview she never wanted to do.
If she agrees to do the interview then she will have to tell them about her family’s darkest secrets.
Swarm by Jennifer D. Lyle
Swarm is definitely one of the November 2023 book releases that I’m most looking forward to on this list. I haven’t read a dystopian novel in quite some time.
Dystopian novels is one of my favorite genres other than thrillers and horror and I can’t wait to check this one out. If you’re wanting other dystopian reads then make sure to check this post out.
Here is what Swarm is about.
Shur is one of the first ones to see the creatures floating outside above the soccer field. When everyone in her class starts getting alerts telling them to take cover no one is really sure why. These things are everywhere but right now they seem kind of harmless.
When Shur and her friends make it to her home it becomes clear that they are going to have to try and survive alone.
As the hybrid creatures start to multiply all Shur can think about is how to prepare and how to keep them out. As she manages to prepare the internet goes out and ultimately there are new hybrids that form that try to get into their house. Will they be able to survive?
What are you looking forward to for the month of November? It seems like there are tons of great November 2023 book releases coming out.
