About In Case I Go Missing

Fenny is 17 and has been Sarah’s sidekick since they solved the mystery of the stolen library books back in elementary school. Over the years, Sarah has ruffled some feathers and built a reputation as an amateur detective and vigilante. But now Sarah is missing, and the police are pushing it as a runaway case. Fenny is convinced that something has happened to her. When Fenny finds the In Case I Go Missing binder she bought Sarah, she realizes that Sarah was on her biggest mission yet. But can she and their best friend Sam figure out the clues she has left behind?

What I thought

I managed to get an advance copy of In Case I Go Missing, but I can’t remember what grabbed my attention to begin with. I am glad that I wound up requesting this one because I wound up really liking it.

Part of me kind of relates to Fenny and not really having a whole lot of friends. I have a select few, and that’s about it.

In Case I Go Missing, in a way, kind of makes me sad with how things go with her friend, even though she doesn’t seem like that great of a friend. I know some of you will probably think differently.

The story does an amazing job of distracting you and making you think that the killer was one person when it was someone else. I actually did not guess who this person was, but maybe I should have. There are multiple people who are super guilty, and I can’t blame Feeny for suspecting them and being mad at them. I’m just glad that Fenny at least one other friend who is still there for her, and she’s able to talk to him about what’s going on.

The story is really fast-paced, and the characters are three-dimensional. The entire time, I’m captivated and wonder what’s going to happen next. I loved the story, and I can’t wait to potentially check out more books by R.N. Swann.
