Summertime seems to be the time when I feel like myself. I’m able to get out of the house more, and I’m not dealing with seasonal depression as badly as I do during the winter. If you’re anything like me, then this might be a good time to create a summer bucket list.
I know some of you are probably wondering why you should create a bucket list in the first place. And I know there are probably some of you who think you’ll be able to keep tabs on whatever is on your list. If you can do that, then you do you, but I think that takes all of the fun out of it.
What is a bucket list?
Hopefully, a lot of you have seen the movie The Bucket List. If you haven’t, then you can find it here. If you have no idea what a bucket list is, then you’re in the right place. A bucket list is simple. It’s creating a list of things you have always wanted to do and working towards accomplishing them. They can be super simple and something you can do quickly in just a short season. Or they can be a list of things to accomplish over several years. It’s all up to you, and it doesn’t matter how simple or how hard you make it. Just as long as you try to push yourself to accomplish it.
But I know you’re probably asking why exactly is it’s called a bucket list? This just sounds like creating goals that can either take you a while or only a short amount of time. It’s called a bucket list because this is something you want to try to accomplish before you kick the “bucket”. In other words, these are things you want to try and do before you die.
Considering we have no idea when that’s going to be, unless we’re sick and have an idea it’s going to be soon, I feel like this is something we shouldn’t push back because we’re too “busy”. I don’t think any of us wants to be on our deathbed with regret!

Summer Bucket List
This summer bucket list is going to be something that is geared towards the warmer months. There are still quite a few of these on the list that can pretty much be done in any season of life. Granted, some of them might be easier to do in the warmer months, but you should never let whatever season you’re in stop you from doing something you would like to do.
If you need anything to write your bucket list on to keep it all together, you can find some journals here and notebooks here.
