June 2024 book releases
Hello everyone! I hope you guys are doing well and reading something good. I’ve did some research on what books are coming out soon and I have found quite a few June 2024 book releases that I’m excited about so I had to share them!
I realize that I don’t keep up with books that are releasing around certain months. I have to be honest, there is a reason for that. It’s hard for me to hold myself back from buying new books. But after doing some research on June 2024 book releases I’m glad that I did because I found some of my favorite authors are releasing new books during this month!
I know you guys probably have a lot of books on your plate if you’re anything like me. But if I fall down the rabbit hole of new books then I’m going to take you guys with me!
June 2024 book releases
Drum roll…. Here are the June 2024 book releases.
One Killer Problem
This is one that I’m not completely sure if I want to read or not but it does sound good.
Here is what One Killer Problem is about.
There are tons of books that are kind of similar to this so that’s partly why I’m skeptical.
Here is what One Killer Problem is about.
Gigi is in detention again… But she never thought she would ever have to use this over-glorified study hall as an alibi.
When she and her friends get an email that leads them to her favorite teacher’s classroom, she doesn’t expect to find him lying there in a pool of blood. Calling it an accident doesn’t seem to be the right thing to call it. Thankfully she’s friends with someone in the ‘mystery’ club who can help her try to solve the murder.
It was unexpectedly difficult to locate someone who didn’t want to be found during their investigation. The deeper she gets into the situation the more she finds herself in danger. Will Gigi be able to figure out who killed her favorite teacher?

Dead Girls Talking
I always love a good thriller so this is one book I’m looking forward to in the June 2024 book releases. I would hate finding out that my father might be a killer and I wouldn’t even know where to begin trying to prove his innocence.
Dead girls talking is one we should all check out next month!
Here is what Dead Girls Talking is about.
Everyone in town knows him as the smiley-face killer but Bettina knows him as her father.
Everyone knows that it was her father that killed her mom. It has been the subject of many things like podcasts and true crime shows. But as she grows up and realizes that there have been multiple copycat murders that leads her to question if her father did it.
She knows that she can’t do this alone so she has to team up with the only person that is willing to help her. That person just so happens to be the bookish goth girl Eugenia.

Horror Movie (a June 2024 book releases I’m looking forward to)
I don’t know what it is about books that revolve around horror movies that always get me. What makes it even better is that this book is set in the 90s.
Horror Movie is one book that I CANNOT wait to read. It sounds super creepy and right up my alley.
Here is what Horror Movie is about.
In 1993 a group of filmmakers spent four weeks working on a horror movie.
The crazy part is that only three episodes were ever released and has grown a huge fan base. Decades later a big-budget film for it is being pushed.
There is only one surviving actor and he remembers all too well what went down during the filming. He remembers all of the secrets that were buried and the weird things that happened there.
Ultimately he decides to help remake the film despite what happened back then. As his memories start to come back he has a hard time trying to figure out if what happened was a part of the film or something more sinister.

How to make a horror movie and survive
I’ll be reading this one soon. I’m hoping that I’ll get to this one before it’s released. This kind of ties into Horror Movie and I’m just as excited about reading this one.
Supernatural books are my jam!
Here is what How to Make a Horror Movie and Survive is about.
Max should be on top of the world right now. He’s one of the top directors. He’s making tons of money and actors love him. Unfortunately for him, it’s the 80s, and all he’s doing is creating cheap slasher films. They aren’t real horror and they aren’t real art, but his producer refuses to fund any of his ideas.
Sally wants to be a final girl. It’s her dream and she has to have it. So far she’s only had small parts but she knows she has what it takes to be the best final girl. When she meets Max at a party she is out to impress him.
When Max finds a camera that filmed a very real Hollywood horror he has to use it for his next film. The camera comes with a cryptic warning, but when he finds out what evil truly lies with it he is dead set to create the scariest movie out there.

Girls like her
I know a lot of you might actually like this one. There are a lot of June 2024 book releases that I’m excited about and this is one of them.
Books like these actually make me really realize how privileged I am. I would panic if I was stuck in this sort of situation.
What are your thoughts on Girls Like Her?
Here is what Girls Like Her is about.

Two sides to every murder
Danielle Valentine is an author who has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I read her book How to Get Survive Your Murder and loved it. So, I’m super excited about this one.
I have a feeling that this one is going to be just as good as her other stuff.
Here is what Two Sides to Every Murder is about.
There’s something special about when Olivia was born. Most births aren’t all that important but she was born during the infamous Camp Lost Lake murders. Seventeen years later she has the best life until she finds out that her dad isn’t her biological father. Now she wants to dig into her past and find out her bloodline and the only way she can do that is to look into Camp Lost Lake.
Reagan has lost some of the best years of her life, but there’s a reason for that. She’s been on the run with an alleged murder. Her mom was found guilty in court for the deaths of those at Camp Lost Lake but Reagan believes that she is innocent. Reagan has to find a way to clear her name.
Thankfully for both of them, Camp Lost Lake is reopening again and giving them the opportunity to find answers. Quickly they find out that someone is set on keeping the past hidden, even if that means killing someone.

Love letters to a serial killer
I’m trying to decide if this book is something that I would be interested in or not. I can’t decide if romance may be the main focus of the story.
If that’s the case then Love Letters to a Serial Killer may not be for me since romance isn’t my go to when it comes to genres, but I figured some of you guys would probably enjoy it!
Hannah is a thirty-something-year-old who was just recently ghosted. So, she starts to send letters to a handsome lawyer named Wesley who was arrested for multiple murders. Sending him letters empowers her and at first feels healthy until he writes back.
The more they start to write the more Hannah shows interest in his case which turns into obsession and leaves nothing else for her. When Wesley is released Hannah is the first person he calls. They quickly fall into a routine and live full of bliss. What could go wrong?

Middle of the night
Riley Sagar has become one of my auto-buy authors and for good reason. I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this one.
I wouldn’t exactly say that his books are horror but they have horror aspects to it!
Here is what Middle of the Night is about.
Nothing ever bad happens in Hemlock Circle. The one time it does it has to happen in Ethan’s backyard. One summer night, ten-year-old Ethan and his best friend Ethan fell asleep in a tent in a quiet small town backyard. When Ethan wakes up he was alone. Someone sliced the tent and took Billy never to be seen again.
Thirty years later as much as Ethan did want to, he returned to his childhood home. While there he is haunted by bad dreams. He can’t sleep and he notices weird things happening in the night. Someone keeps driving by the home at weird hours and he keeps seeing signs of Billy’s presence in his backyard. Is someone playing a trick on him?
These things push Ethan to find out what happened. The closer he gets to the truth the more he realizes that no town is as safe as you think it is.

The Midnight Feast
So, I haven’t read anything by Lucy. I have heard a lot of good things about her books though. I have been seeing a lot of her books around TikTok and Instagram.
Here is what The Midnight Feast is about.
It’s the opening night of The Manor and everything looks beautiful. On top of that the people look beautiful as well.
Just outside of The Manor’s grounds lies the forest. It has so many secrets that the town doesn’t fully understand. The locals are resentful of all of this. The woods need to be left alone. Whispers about the pagan folklore are going around and for good reason.
The local police are called on the Sunday morning of opening weekend. There has been a fire and a body has been found. Something isn’t completely right with the guests. What exactly happened during the opening? And who is the cause?

Incidents around the house
I love, love, love books that revolve around supernatural aspects. I’m going to be honest… by the sound of this book and the look of this cover, it reminds me of a mixture of Coraline and Imaginary Friend.
I am eagerly looking forward to the release of this one.
Here is what Incidents Around the House is about.
Bela’s family is her world. At eight years old they really should be. There’s her Mom, Dad, and Grandma Ruth. But there’s also Other Mommy who keeps asking “Can I go inside your heart?”
Â
Horrifying things happen around the house that lets Bela know that Other Mommy is growing tired. She doesn’t want to wait for Bela to agree. Bela understands that if she says yes then bad things will happen.
