So, you’re looking to change your life in six months. You’re in the right place! If you’re anything like me, then you have probably been on YouTube a lot and seen where people are “changing” their lives in six months. I feel like this is something you really want to do, and if you set it up right, then this would be a great place start to change your life.
So why are we doing this in six months? Well, every year, most of us write goals or resolutions for the new year, but we write them for the entire year. But for a lot of us, that can tend to be overwhelming. We look at all of these goals that we’re supposed to accomplish in a year, and it all of a sudden becomes blurry.
It’s like when we walk into a room that’s a huge mess, and then we all of a sudden become overwhelmed and don’t know where to start at all. Or ya know maybe it’s just me that feels this way. Regardless if you find it overwhelming or not, six months is a good time frame to work on small goals to change your life. It doesn’t feel too short and is impossible to do. But It also doesn’t feel way too long like a year can be.
For people like me, it can be hard to envision my life and how I want to improve it in a year because so much can change in a year. So six months seems like a good time frame to be able to fit it all in.
Change your life in six months with self-improvement
A lot of people create a six-month self-improvement challenge to help them. This is something that I’m really considering doing myself. I haven’t felt like myself in such a long time, and I feel like I’ve been self-sabotaging myself from progressing into the person I want to be.
This is the spot where it would be a good idea to write out the person you want to become. What version of you do you want to be? This will ultimately help out a lot with how to change your life in six months. You can’t exactly walk blindly for the next six months with no clear path on who you want to be or what you want to change.
Six months is a great time frame to work on your self improvement! You won’t be rushing to change things and then panicking when nothing is changing. But you aren’t extending it for a year. Sometimes, if we set something for an entire year, then we wind up not doing it. Or we wind up waiting until the last minute, as I do. Or you can be the kind of person who doesn’t like that length of time, because so much can change in that time frame.
This is where you need to decide what areas of your life you want to improve on. Self-improvement can take you a long way when it comes to changing your life. This can mean changing your habits or changing your mindset.
How to improve your life in 6 months
I know there are a lot of people who probably think it’s crazy that people think they can change their lives in six months. I can hear some people now saying that’s too short a time frame to really change your life. In reality, they are a bit right. No, you cannot change your life completely in just six months, but this will take you down the right path at least, and your life will change in some way.
But how are we able to improve our lives in six months? Well for starters you’ll need to set clear and realistic goals. You’ll need to think short-term and about things you can actually change now. Life, if you want to lose weight, that’s fixable. Just don’t make it lose one hundred pound within that six month time period because that isn’t realistic.
You can also work on changing your negative mindset if that’s something that’s been holding you back a lot, too. That’s definitely something I really want to work on myself because I hold myself back a lot from doing things that seem fun.
This is something that you’ll really have to sit down and really think about what you want to take on.
